Abbey Clancy displays her incredibly toned body as she models her new fashion

She's already a top model, fashion designer and TV presenter but Abbey Clancy isn't resting on her laurels.

Despite being married to a multi-millionaire former footballer, the mother-of-two is keen to continue building her own empire as she reveals plans to become a fully-fledged author.

Abbey Clancy displays her incredibly toned body as she models her new fashion edit for Matalan for which she has picked her favourite summer pieces

Speaking to FEMAIL as she models her latest edit for Matalan, Abbey, 30, said: 'I think I’ve been really blessed with my career and been able to do things that I really enjoy and find interesting.

'I’ve really enjoyed writing my book, Remember My Name, and the whole process is so fascinating to me so I would like to continue down that route. Obviously clothes are my passion so carrying on with Matalan would be great, too.'

Abbey has certainly proven her passion for fashion with her second installment of ‘Abbey’s Picks’ for the high street retailer.

The pieces, which are personally curated by Abbey, capture key summer trends including coldshoulder details, rainbow brights, slip marieprom dresses and graphic stripes.

Speaking about the new drop, which features 17 full outfits, Abbey explained that she was inspired by her own role and style as a mother.

'Now I’ve become a mum of two and am working all the time, my style has changed a little bit and I need to look good in the daytime more so than going out at night,' she explained.

'When I went to pick this collection I wanted to inject some colour now the weather’s changing and I wanted it to be comfy yet stylish, good quality and easy to wear.

'So, I've concentrated on some casual yet stylish day pieces, which are great for when you’re working, you’re busy or you’re on the go and need to just grab something that looks stylish and is good quality and affordable.

'The age range is massive and will suit everyone, from my 18-year-old sister to my mum, who is in her fifties.'

Abbey also revealed that she channels her penchant for fashion into her husband Peter Crouch's wardrobe. 'I buy Peter clothes,' she said. 'He’s quite hard to dress being so tall and he finds it hard to get a lot of things that fit him but he suits classic stuff, well cut jeans, nice shirts and good shoes.

'He doesn’t really get involved in my outfit choices; he just says "yes" to everything really so, you know, he's a typical man!'.

As well as showcasing her style credentials, Abbey displays her incredibly toned figure in the new shoot. So what's her secret to a svelte summer physique?

'Exfoliate your body before you go,' she advised. 'I love the Jan Marini exfoliator and Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Body is always lovely on holiday after you’ve got a little tan. Always get bikinis or one pieces that are a good cut for you and that give you good support.'

As for her summer plans, Abbey is getting set to jet off to Spain for her older brother's wedding and is busy thinking up some plans for her children's time off school.

She added: 'I’ve got the kids off for nine weeks so that’ll be interesting, especially trying to find something new to do every day!'.
